At Grand Hotel Ampezzo, everything begins with a transition. The crisp air of the Dolomites remains outside, while inside a different density takes shape.

Light carries the altitude with it. It enters sharp, touches wood, moves across textiles, travels along surfaces and alters them as it passes. The mountains remain present, even when out of sight. Over time, perception shifts: spaces draw closer, movements settle, time feels less urgent.

In collaboration with Otto Studio and Paola Navone, the project takes shape through a wide range of objects designed for everyday use.

A notebook with a fine, powdery texture that invites writing. A pen with a balanced weight that feels steady in the hand. Thick, absorbent towels with a dense, reassuring touch. Slippers that gently adapt to the step. A robe that wraps comfortably and holds warmth. The menu cards introduce a distinctive pattern, immediately recognizable and repeating across formats and moments, giving the hotel a clear visual signature.

Each object is meant to be handled, used, and returned to. Materials, proportions and finishes create a continuous dialogue between body and space.

IN SEQUENCE

Objects interlock and hold gestures together.

A spa bag shifts in volume throughout the day. A hanger carries weight and defines lines. Slippers soften each step, easing transitions. On a tray, objects pause briefly before moving on. A sequence forms, repeating with small variations each time.
